The Annual Convocation & Diploma Award Ceremony of 2019 will be held on 22nd March 2019 at BMICH Committee Room B at 9.30 a.m. with the distinguished patronage of Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe - Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Hon. Daya Gamage, Minister of Primary Industries & Social Empowerment with the participation of Hon. Seyed Ali Zahir Moulana, State Minister of Social Empowerment, Hon. Palitha Kumara Thevarapperuma, Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment, Mr. H.M. Gamini Senevirathna - Secretary, Ministry of Primary Industries & Social Empowerment and Chairman, Governing Council NISD, M.T.R. Shamini Attanayake, Director General (covering) NISD & with other invitees.

16 Master of Social Work graduands & 101 Bachelor of Social Work graduands will be conferred their degrees at the Convocation Ceremony. The Diploma Award Ceremony will be followed by the convocation and 350 students who have successfully completed the Diploma in Social Work, Diploma in Counseling and Diploma in Community Based Corrections will be awarded the Diplomas at this ceremony.

The Convocation address will be delivered by Dr. Donald Chandrarathne - Retired Professor of Social Work, Curtin University, Western Australia.
